(raw notes for now…)

Quite a few are also complaining about fingerprinting censor,

people can complain all they want.

the sensor works well and you just have to get used to how an “on screen” sensor works.  once you figure out you have to lightly press on the screen to make it trigger, it works all the time.  Google engineers aren’t that stupid…

severe overheating and

I haven’t experienced overheating - yes it will get warm like any other phone.

if you don’t experience any slow downs with your 3a, you are not the kind of user that is going to experience overheating.

I did install some heavy graphic games (like Geshin Impact) just out of curiosity and decided if I do any gaming, it will be on my iPad Pro with my bigger screen!

as for simple games - I really doubt it will overheat the 6a.  the people complaining are people who should be buying the pro version of the phone (Pixel 6), they should be appreciating that Google managed to put a ferrari engine in a corolla at a low cost and still understand to make a budget phone, you need to cut corners somewhere so stop whining!

make a choice on whether you want an affordable, very capable, modern and functional phone or pay more for a high performance phone!

absence of an...earphone jack! (wtf?)

yes - I don’t know if you noticed, the headphone jack disappeared on iPhones a long time ago!

I thought I would miss the headphone jack and I really don’t.

I’m told if you really want to connect wired headphones, we can just get a USB-C to headphone dongle (apparently the Apple one works well)

the immense speed difference of 3 generations later, for me, easily outweighs the loss and any mourning of a headphone jack!
