Red Outpost
<insert first impressions & context from Writing Salon (1-on-1) 4/13/2021>
I really love this game so far after playing solo mode about 7x.
The instructions are decently written and put this page together as the flow is lacking sometimes and some things need outright clarification.
Reminders (Solo & MP)
- Every player gets 1 crystal to start
- Each player only moves a single worker in Morning, Lunch, and Night phases
- Every worker moves during the two day phases
- Each worker remaining in Barracks at the end of Morning (4 in solo game), gets +1 mood
- When Fisherman visits the lake:
- Fisherman has the option to shuffle the deck before draw
- draw two cards and choose only one card (not both)
- You don’t move the production wheel when salvaging resources at Spaceship
Helpful Clarifications (Solo & MP)
- mood cannot exceed 4 or go below -2 (bottoms out)
- [ ] Storehouse: pick only 1 action: trade a resource (for mood or crystal) or crystal (for resource)
- [ ] Storehouse: you advance the production wheel when you trade a crystal into a resource
- [ ] Beer House or Storehouse: You cannot trade +1 mood with a worker with a mood of -2. You must choose a worker with a mood of at least -1
Solo game
This is why I got the game: to explore a 1-player euro-style strategy game and treat it like a puzzle (and perhaps learn a thing or two about Communism :)
Additional Reminders
- Autom never moves/rotates a worker to the Barracks (even at night)
- Autom places a disk on the worker with the highest priority during Lunch and scores the resultant VP
- You do not score any points at Lunch
