• built into iOS (pro or con depending on your device)
  • Apple media options: Memoji, avitar emoji (akin to Bitmoji), Digital Touch, app
• iOS14: supports replies (akin to Messenger)
• no limit on length of voice message
• iOS14: mentions (in case recipient has notifications muted)
• iOS14: pin contacts

cons

• only works on Apple devices { this is fine for Chin for now - it will help me integrate voice messaging }
• no scrubber (!)
• no speed multiplier

known issues

• you will lose your voice message if Auto-lock kicks in in iOS10 (we are soon to be on iOS14 so this might be a non-issue)
